江西概况
江西简称“赣”,是中华人民共和国内陆省份之一。江西省位于中国的东南部，在长江中下游的南岸，处于北纬24。29’14”至30004’40与东经1 13034’36’’至1180 28’58之间。东邻浙江、福建，南连广东，西接湖南，北毗湖北、安徽。
面积 全省总面积16．69万平方公里。江西省界轮呈树叶形， 南北长约620公里，东西宽约490公里。江西处于北回归线附近，四季比较分明，春季天气多变，春夏之交湿润多雨，夏季晴热干燥，冬季阴冷，但霜冻期短。年平均气温16．2至19．7度。全年平均日照时数为1473至2077小时q，年平均降雨量为1341．4至1934．4毫米，总量约2670亿立方。
地形地貌 江西常态地貌类型以山地、丘陵为主，山地占全省面积的36％，丘陵占42％，平原、水面占22％。主要山脉多分布于省境边陲，东北部有怀玉山，是本省铜储藏量最多的地区；东部有武夷山；南部有大庾岭和九连山，有“钨都"的美称；西部有罗霄山脉；西北部有暮阜山和九岭山。矿产资源江西矿产资源极为丰富，在目前已知的150多种矿产中，江西就有140多种。其中已探明储量的有89种，居全国前五位的有33种。黑色金属有铁、锰、钛、钒等四种；有色和贵金属有铜、铅、锌、金、银等13种，稀有、稀土有铌、钽等29种，在全国占有明显的优势，江西已建成亚洲最大的铜矿和全国最大的铜冶炼墓地。森林资源江西全省森覆盖率已达50．9％，木材蓄量2．5亿立方米，毛竹蓄量10亿根，均位于全国前列。
水资源 江西全省有大小河流2400多条，其中常年有水的160多条，总长约18400公里。赣江、抚河、?河\信江和修河为全省五大江河。江西全省水资源总量为 1416亿立方米，人均拥有水量和耕地亩均占有水量均高于全国平均水平。丰富的水资源的是江西发展工农业生产的有利条件。
旅游资源 江西山清水碧，景色诱人，名胜古迹遍布全省各地。主要旅游景区：庐山、井岗山、龙虎山、三清山、鄱阳湖区、南昌市和景德镇市。其中，庐山已被联合国作为“世界文化景观”列人世界遗产名录。人口江西省2005年末，总人口为?4149．3万人。行政体制江西省人民代表大会为江西权力机关。江西省下辖赣州(1999年撤地设市)、宜春、上饶、吉安、抚州五个地区(2000年已撤地设市)和南昌、景德镇、九江、萍乡、新、鹰潭六个市，南昌市为省会所在地。

吉安概况
吉安市位于江西西南部，赣江之滨，辖1市2区10县，国土地面积2.5万平方公里，人口470万。吉安是革命根据地--井冈山所在地、伟人毛泽东及邓小平的祖籍地。京九铁路、105国道、赣粤高速公路、赣江水道和井冈山机场构成吉安现代交通网络。
吉安素有“金庐陵”和“江南望郡”之美誉，自唐、宋以来，出了17位状元，近三千进士。最杰出的人物有欧阳修（唐宋八大诗人之一）、文天祥（民族英雄）、解晋（永乐大典主编）等。这里资源丰富，森林覆盖率达65%，自然风光和人文景观交相辉映，中国优秀旅游城市井冈山、江南佛教圣地青原山，新干商代大墓、白鹭洲书院等到各具特色、熠熠生辉。

Outline of Ji’an City
Ji’an City is located in the southwest of Jiangxi Province with Ganjiang River passing through, governing one city at county level, two districts and ten counties with a total area of 25000 square kilometers and a population of 4.7million. Ji’an, where the revolutionary base—-Jinggangsan lies, is the ancestral home of the former leaders Mao zhedong and Deng Xiaopin. The city ‘s traffic network is made up of the Beijing-Kowloon Railway ,the No.105 National Road, the Jiangxi-Guangdong Highway, the Ganjiang River
and Jinggangshan Airport.
Ji’an won the reputations of “Golden Luling” and “Outstanding Prefecture to the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River” for its great cultural prosperity and distinguished talents. Ever since the Tang and Song Dynasties, 17 Number-one Scholars and nearly 3000 scholars had been from here. The most outstanding figures were Ouyang Xiu (One of the famous eight poets in Tang and Song Dynasties), Wen Tiangxiang ((national hero), Xie Jin ( chief editor of Yongle Encyclopedia), etc. The forest coverage reaches 63.5%. Natural scene and revolutionary relics are combining each other. Jinggang Mountain-–the Chinese excellent tourist city, Qingyuan Mountain—the south holy place for Buddish,Xigan ancient tomb ruins in Song Dynasty,and Bailuzhou Institute are charming and shining for
their own features.
Ji’an City enjoys a subtropical monsoon and humid climate with sufficient rainfall and sunshine, resulting in fertile fields and clean waters. Ji’an City is rich in agricultural products, such as rice, oil, vegetable, fruit, tea, edible fungi, medical herbs, tobacco leaves, silkworm and mulberry, wood, bamboo, etc. There are also many famous and advanced specialities, such as ham of Anfu, pressed and salted duck of Suichuan, black-bone chicken of Taihe， rice-flour noodles of Xiajing, Gougunao tea of Suichuan and so on, which frequently won rewards on domestic and international food fairs.
井冈山概况

Brief Introduction of Jinggangshan Mt.
Jingganshan Mt., situated in the middle of Luoxiao Mountain Range on the border of Hunan and Jiangxi Provinces, is the cradle of Chinese Revolutionary and the excellent tourismt city in China .It has a revolutionary epic left behind and its beautiful landscape has been famous both at home and abroad. There are two treasures in Jinggan Mt.:one is Red revolutionary history and the other is green mountain and forests.” Red and green colors make here become a special place for sightseeing in China.
Jinggangsan Mt. has a glory revolutionary history. In Oct.1927, senior proletarian revolutionists such as Mao Zedong and Zhu DE set up here the first Rural Revolutionary Base and Opened up a revolution ary road fo “country besieges cities and Seizing regime with armed forces”, with Chinese Characteristics. A precious spiritual treasure has been left for later generations , and that is Jingganshan Mt. Spirit. Nowadays, footprints of Red armed Houses and relics during the revolution have been well kept and they have recorded the real fighting scenes at the time.

井冈山学院简介
井冈山学院始建于1958年，现占地面积2554亩，校舍建筑面积45万平方米。下设15个学院：政法学院、人文学院、外国语学院、商学院、数理学院、工学院、化学化工学院、艺术学院、体育学院、医学院、护理学院、信息技术与传媒学院、生命科学学院、教育学院、继续教育学院，还设有18个教学实验室（中心）。
目前，学校开设了37个本科专业，主要是：英语、商务英语、日语、 国际经济与贸易、法学、汉语言文学、对外汉语、广播电视新闻学、音乐学、美术学、艺术设计、历史学、数学、物理学、化学、应用化学、生物科学、环境科学、应用心理学、机械设计制造及其自动化、计算机科学与技术、生物医学工程、护理学、信息管理与信息系统、市场营销、财务管理、旅游管理等。学校面向全国招生，现有在校生15000余人。
学校现有教师831人，其中教授34人，副教授213人，具有博士、硕士学位共257人。目前有26名教授、副教授被清华大学等10多所省内外高校聘为兼职硕士研究生导师，同时聘请了王梓坤院士等25位国内外知名学者为兼职或客座教授。
Outline of Jinggangshan University
Jinggangshan University dates back to 1958. The campus covers an area of 170 hectares, among which the building area is 450,000m². The university is a complicated public educational center with fifteen colleges: Politics and Law, Liberal Arts, Foreign Study, Business, Maths and Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Fine Arts, Physical Education, Medicine, Nursing, Information and Media Technology, Biology, Pedagogy, Adult Education; and 18 teaching experimental centers.
15 colleges include 37 majors on 9 fields of arts, science, pedagogy, administration, economics, history, engineering, medicine, and law. The majors include: English, Business English, Japanese, International Economy and Trade, Law, Chinese Literature, International Chinese Teaching, Broadcasting and Journalism, Music, Fine Arts, Artistic Designing, History, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Applying Chemistry, Biology, Ecology, Applying Psychology, Mechanics and Automatization, Computer Science and Technology, Biomedicine, Nursing, Information Management and System, Marketing, Financial Administration, Tourism, etc. There are 150,000 full-time students from 30 provinces, districts, and municipalities of China.
The number of the current professional teachers in our college is 831, of whom more than 247 are professors and associate-professors, and 257 are PHDs and masters. 26 teachers are engaged as honor tutors of master degree in Qinghua University, etc., 25 celebrated scholars are engaged as part-time professors or guest professors in recent years.

2． 遵守学校的工作制度和有关外国专家的管理规定，接受学校的工作安排、业务指导、教学检查和评估。未经学校同意，不得兼任与合同无关的其它劳务。
3． 按期完成工作任务，保证工作质量。
4． 学校不干涉你们的宗教信仰和自行的宗教活动，但不能以任何形式，在任何场合在中国人中宣传宗教、发展信徒。
5． 尊重学校教职工，尊重和热爱学生，不得有任何伤害和侮辱学生的言行。
6． 你们可利用节假日外出旅游，但不能占用教学时间。同时请不要去非开放地区，以免给自己带来不必要的麻烦。外出请先告知国际合作交流处。
7． 你们到达学校一星期内，请将护照、体检报告、照片（6张）、机票等材料交国际合作交流处，以便为你们办理相关证件和事务。
8． 假期和你们任职期满回国前，你们如需办理回国和回头签证，国际合作交流处将为你们出具相关证明，并协助你们办理相关手续。
9． 当工作结束准备回国时，请提前一个月告知国际合作交流处，需订何种交通票，说明路线、目的地及离校时间，以便我们及时订购。如节假日自行外出旅游，则自行订购，如有困难，可提前向国交处提出，并交纳订票费，由国交处代办。
10． 请安排课余时间或周末上街办私事，当你进城购物、访友、游玩、办事时，请注意交通安全，注意饮食卫生安全。
11． 如有亲朋好友来访，且需要在学校留宿，请事先告知国交处。
12． 你们在学校的教学、科研工作由所在的院系和国交处负责，他们将为你解决工作中的有关问题。

3．You shall complete the tasks agreed to on schedule and guarantee the quality of work.
4．We will not interfere with your own religious believes and your religious activities，but you are not allowed to proselytize your religion and develop followers among these people In any term or on any O5.P1ease respect the staff，respect and 1ove your students. 9• When finishing the contract work，please inform the International Office in advance what kind of transport tickets do you want to order and indicate the route，the destination and the departure time SO that we can make the reservation In t。me•If traveling by yourself during the holidavs，you M11 order and buy the tickets yourself．If having difficulties,the International Office can help you and you should
pay the related fee．
10．If you want to go to Nanchang for private affairs，please arrange that duling your spare time or in the weekend．When going shopping，visiting friends and dealing withbusiness downtown，please take care of your safety concerning traffic and food．

二、 教学工作
1、外籍教师的教学工作由所在学院和教务处及主管教学或外事工作的校领导管理体制。
2、外籍教师的重要职责是完成 学院规定的教学任务。 任务、课程和课时由双方协定后，不可自行更改。未经国际合作交流处和学院领导同意，外籍教师不得承担校外的其他工作。
3、外籍教师的教学法要贯彻学校制定的教学计划与大纲的要求。使用的教材可与有关人员协商确定，必要时由院领导参与确定。欢迎外籍教师推荐、提供或协肋引进国外的先进教材及视听辅助资料。
4. 外籍教师按计划内进行教学法，开学初的两面三刀周内，向学院提交教学计划，学期结束时，就实施情况写出书面总结。
5、外籍教师在教学过程中不宜讲授与课程无关或关系不大的内容， 不可进行与教学无关的活动。不得在课堂上宣传西方的价值观、散布反华言论。不允许对学生进行宗教文化等渗透活动。不允许散布攻击我政府的言论，挑动事端。
6、外籍教师要加强与合作教师的联系，参加所在教研室的活动。中外教师合作，共同探和改进教学法工作，欢迎外外籍教师地对本学院的教学法工作提出合理化建议。
7、外籍教师因教学需要，可以向图书馆、资料室有关图书资料，借阅手续按馆、室有关规定，可由合作教师或国交处代办。
8、外籍教师在教学中应严格要求学生，并注意听取学生对教学的意见；加强课堂纪委认真布置和批改作业， 做好课外辅导和答凝工作。严格执行考试制度， 坚持评分标准。
9、外籍教师应接受校院系领导和教研室主任以听课和其他方式对教学情况的检查，并协助开展评估工作。
10、外籍教的授课时间一般以每周五天安排课时。课时安排后不得自行调动。如有正当理由确需调课，应事先报院领导批准。
11、外籍教师因故不能上课，需办理请假手续。事假三天以内由学院领导签署意见后报国交处批准。病假由医疗部门出具证明，按批准权限上报备案。病事假期的待遇，按合同的有关条款处理。
12、外籍教师任职期满，由所属学院执照实际情况写出书面鉴定。教学成绩显著，可由学院或学校给予相应的精神或物质奖励。教学态度不好，不能完成教学任务并经帮助无效者聘用学院可向有关部门建议予以辞退。
13、外籍教师要依据合同的要求，按时来校或离校。如有特殊情况，须事先征得国交处与学院批准。
14、发给外籍教师的各种证件（如专家证、借书证等）在离校前应及时交回有关部门。居留证由外籍教师随身携带，离任的外籍教师居留证，在出境时由边防检查站收回。
Teaching Task
1．Your teaching task is mainly managed by the school you belong to，by the International Office，by the Dean’S Office and the leaders of our university in charge of teaching and external affairs.
2．The main responsibility of a foreign teacher is to fulfill the teaching task set by the schools．You can’t changethe task，the curriculum and the periods by yourselves without mutual agreement．You are not allowed to accept other work outside our university without getting the permission Of the International Office and your schoolleaders．
3．Your teaching will be carried out according to the teaching plan and the outline made by our university．You can discuss wi th relevant persons the selection of textbooks． You are welcome to recommend or offer foreign advanced teaching materials．
4．You should do your teaching according tO the teaching plan，and you will send the teaching plan to your school in the first two weeks after the classes begin．Antl at the end of each semester，please summarize your teaching．
5．During teaching，activities that have notlring tO do with the class should not be lectured．You carl’t spa’cad pass1。ve western values to the students，nor opinions against China。nor proselytize religious ideas or lead religious activities．
6．You should keep in close contact with assistant teachers and take part in related activities of your schools．Y0u will cooperate with Chinese teachers to discuss and improve your teaching work．Any reasonable suggestiOns’to the teaching of your schools will be welcomed．
7．You can borrow some relevant books and reference materials from our library tO meet your teaching needs．Your assistant teachers or the staff of the International Office can offer you help according to the regulation of the library．
8．You are required to be strict with your students，and listen to students"opinions about your teaching，focus on the class discipline，assign and correct．students’exercises seriously，and advise students after class． You should implement the examination system strictly and stick to marking standards．
9．You will accept evaluations to your teaching methods bv leaders of our university and of the schools in the form of listening to your classes or in some other ways and cooperate with them to carry out teaching assessments．
1 0．Usually，classes are arranged in the five working days and you shouldn't change the class schedule once it has been settled．You should get the permission of the school leaders in advance if you really need tO change your class．
1 1．You should ask for leave if you can’t go tO class with proper reasons．Within three days you should get the permission 0f your school leaders．Over three days，it should be approved by both your schools and the International Office．Medical certificate is required when asking for sick leave．The benefits enjoyed during the leaves will be in accordance with the contract．
1 2．When the contract duration iS up，the school will make an appraisal of your work．You can get moral encouragement and may get a bonus from the schools or our university—y0U do good。ob‘teaching．The schoo‘wilvermty II u dO a good job in teaching 1 school will make the proposal that we can dismiss you if you don't take a serious attitude tO your teaching and can't finish your teaching task and make no improvement even after being corrected.
1 3．You should arrive or leave our university in time according tO the contract requirement．If you have special reasons for delay or‘caving earlier， should g the reasons Ior delay or leaving earlier you should get the permission of International Office and the school in advance．
14．AIl certificates(such as expert certificate，library card)should be returned tO the relevant sections before leaving China．You can keep and it wilI be taken from you when you leave China． the residence permit yourself by the frontier inspection stop
三、生活待遇
外籍教师的生活待遇
1．外籍教师的住房，由学校按照有关标准和学校的实际情况统一安排，水电费、电话费自付，房内的用具、设施，要爱护使用，如无故损坏，需自行赔偿。
2．外籍教师住房内的电器设备，由物资部门按照需要加以安装。请勿擅自安装插座。煤气灶及各种电器设备均须按照有关规程正确操作和使用，如违章操作发生事故，自负其责。
3．外籍教师的工资，经双方商定、上级批准后，按月支付，每月月底由国交处负责发放。
4．外籍教师来校以后，须按有关规定交验健康证明或参加体检。如因病就医，可请学院有关工作人员陪同到校医院诊断治疗。需转市内其他医院者，由校医院签署意见，经校国
际合作交流处审定并协助办理有关手续。医疗费用按有关规定予以报销。如自行外出就医，费用自理。
5．外籍教师因公外出用车，由国际合作交流处或所在院系联系安排；因私事用车，可由本人或他人联系安排，费用自理。骑车或步行外出，请遵守交通规则，注意人身安全。
6．外国文教专家按照有关规定带子女来校共同生活，其生活、保育、入托、人学及聘用保姆的费用自理。
7．外籍教师到职和离职往返的国际机票，凡按”合同”由学校提供者，由校国际交流处负责办理。来程机票也可自购，根据合同凭证报销；回程则只提供机票，一般不支付同等行程的机票款。往返机票均需提前一个月订购。来程应予报销的费用，按合同规定办理。
Living Benefit

ranged by our university．Fees for water，gas,electricitv and telephone are to be paid for by the foreign teacller．All of the utensils and facilities should be taken care of．If thev are damaged without any reasons，the users should comDensate for the lOSS．
2．All the electrical appliances in the flats should be installed by our equipment sections．Please do not install outlets yourself．The gas range and all the electrical appliances should be operated in accordance with the related rules．If someone operates them against the rules and something unexpected happens，he should be responsible for a11 the resuits caused by it．
3．The salary will be paid in the end of each month bv the International Office．
4．You should offer US your healthy certificates，or take physical examination when arriving at 0ur universitv．You can see a doctor in our school hospital accompanied by related persons if necessary．You should get the permission 0f the International Office and the school hospital if going to the hospital outside．The fee will be paid according to the Contract by our university．Without the permission，you should pay the medical fee yourself．
5．If the foreign teacher goes out for school business，the International Office or the relevant school will arrange a car．If for personal affairs，he can arrange a car by himself and he will pay his own expenses．If you go out by bicycle or on foot，please observe traffic regulations and mind your personal safety．
6．If foreign teachers bring their children to our university，they should pay the living expenses，child care，school and the housemaid by themselves．
7．When foreign teachers arrive at their post or lcave their post，the international air tickets will be offered by our university and be handled by the International Office．The arrival air ticket can be bought by foreign teachers and then be reimbursed according to the contract．The return air ticket will be ordered one month in advance．
